The little red guy is a cold blooded beasty.

The temp was right at 2 for the high for the day and when I got home from work I had to glow it twice and then he still didnt really want to wake up. That was kind of expected but what wasnt was the hydraulics. Nothing going in that dept. Lift and dump were not a problem, rollback was a tad slow, lower wasnt happining. I think there was ice in the valve. Touched it with the propane torch and we got some lower out of it.

The temp here has dropped as low as 20 below in the last two days with -36 wind chill. I haven't looked at the temp this afternoon, but we were still well below zero at 5:00 am. I haven't tried to start mine since I ran it 4 days ago. My dealer put a heater in the coolant line when I bought it in May. I will probably end up using it before winter is done. I expect a couple of weeks below zero in January at least.

Ran mine last night it was 0 degrees. Was in un heated garage but started fine after about 6 cycles of the glow plugs.
After moving snow for an hour temperature never reached the normal range.

My 2810 HST is cold blooded. I bought a block heater but haven't got it on yet. It was 12 below this morning.

I tried to start her earlier today and she didn't want to start.

I have a 100,000 BTU Kerosene heater I will point at her for about 15 minutes and that seems to do the trick.
That's how I started her last year.

Don't feel bad. My Cub never wants to start when its cold. I put a brand new battery in it, but it really turns over slowly. It helps if you take the battery inside, but that can be a hassle too. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Hockymaine, I was wondering if the dealer installed hotter glow plugs and delay helped your 2015 start better.. Mine usually starts pretty quick, but takes a while, 30 secs. to a minute to quit sputtering and actually settle down to smooth idle. I sometimes hit the glow and shut it back off and then again to warm the plugs twice, I don't know if it really helps or not.. I was waiting to see if it worked on yours before having it done to mine... John
