Well, just came in from doing a little snow removal with the 3520 (no cab).
Thought I was bundled up pretty good until I got inside and realized that my seat
was quite cold. Mumbled a few things about why I didn't buy a CAB model so the
wife could hear it.

Then I recalled a 3720 owner from NC that had installed a 12V outlet and was using
a heating pad for warmth. So, I did a little surfing and found some, but
all of them struck me as cheaply made.

Anyone have suggestions for 12-volt (DC) powered heating pads? Guess I could
buy some snowmobile pants to go with my down parka, but I'd only use them
for cold weather, tractor work - which is snow removal. Indiana doesn't get
a lot of snow (usually), so, my seat time during winter is limited.

Cheers! and Thanks!

The trouble with a heated seat is that it melts the snow and pretty soon you have a wet *ss! Get a pair of insulated Carhartt Bibs and things will be good again.

Get some snowmobile/snowboaring pants or bibs!!! They are designed to be -- for the most part--- waterproof. That's all I used to use till I purchased a weatherbrake to protect me. Worth the $$;) and as little you would use them they should last you for a number of yrs.

Try hunters hot seat.

From one who grew up with cold winters.

Keep your feet and hands warm, and you'll be warm. This means 'choppers' and not gloves. Insulated boots. As for a cold seat, well, toughen up.

I was out using the 2520FEL to remove snow in the last storm (20" record for December) while it was still snowing because the wind was supposed to whip up when it ended and my snowblower wouldn't start .
Knees started aching and came in half done (two long driveways to do) when I just couldn't take the aching knees any more. Didn't fully realize my legs where horizontal were soaking wet. (and so was my *ss)
Definately need at least some rain pants if I ever do that again.

I use a rain suit over my layers of warm clothing - the rain suit is useful all year long

Go down to the salvage yard and buy a nice heated leather seat out of a beemer or benz.

:D

What exactly do you mean by 'choppers'??? Mittens maybe? Or something else??

The rain suit is the key here...not only will it keep you dry, it keeps the wind off of you as well. I use my motorcycle rain pants and a waterproof jacket.
