Color paint match for NH FEL bucket

My new tractor needs to be cleaned up a bit. Where can I get a spray that matches the bucket grey?

Bob your best bet is your dealer. Picked up more than a few cans when I visited mine.

Bob I can tell you that the gray is so dark in appearance that more than a few folks have used black to touch up their buckets as well as the undercarriage of the tractor. My neighbor with a TN70 swore is was black until I took the can of NH dark gray over to show him the difference.

Mine is a medium gray. IT is almost the color grey that the side consoles are.
I went to the dealer today and bought two different colors of dark grey and real dark grey. I got home knowing it was wrong but they insisted. There was one other color they didn't have in stock. I might bring in one of the front weights for a color match.

My dealer has a nice supply of paint, from rattle cans to pints, maybe quarts and gallons, too (haven't been there in a while). While I will pressure wash the FEL bucket, I never considered painting it since it'd be gone the next time I picked up a load of limestone. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Except for the stupid name choice NH used, it is black. According to NH if it isn't yellow, red, or blue, it is gray. Chassis Gray is darn near white. Dark Gray is for all intents and purposes Medium Gloss Black. NH offers several Grays inbetween to further cloud the issue.

I want to weld some hooks on my bucket and repaint those areas after welding to keep it from rusting.

Me, I don't care what color it is as long as it's reasonably close and helps keep the rust down. After you run it into a few piles of dirt or gravel, or wrap a chain around those hooks, does it really matter? It's a tractor. It's semi-gloss black, $1.99 at Home Depot, $5.99 at your NH dealer.
