Have you all noticed that the 60 HP and under compacts all seems to be around mid 60 inches on the width? The only one I noticed that is quite a bit wider is the Mahindra 3550 and I am not sure it is even considered a compact. How important is the tractor width in some of these larger compacts? Seems like the larger ones would be more likely to tip over.

If you are worried about rollover then widen the wheels.
Some tractors have adjustable rims. Alternatively put dual wheels on.

You can also buy wheel spacers for some models.

One of the first things I noticed after I brought home my Kubota M7060 was that it was about a foot narrower than my old John Deere 2020. The John Deere wheels are set at their narrowest position, with about 8" of axle sticking out past the wheels so it could be made a lot wider yet. The narrowness of the Kubota, paired with the really high seating position (cab model) makes for a pretty good jolt and jerk to the side when a tire drops down into a big hole.

My 2400 is 5'. My 6530 has 16.9x34 rears which put it a few inches over 72". Fords are variable from narrow to wide the way the wheels and wheel discs are setup.

I agree that some, especially with cabs, seem way too narrow and have no way (other than separately purchased spacers, or duals) to get wider. However, the wider you go the harder it is on drag implements......tire hits the tongue of the implement in tight turns and if row cropping, at the end of the row you want a tight turn......if you're a STO like me!
