Compact Tractor Sweeper

I've seen those on golf courses. They must be expensive. Did you find one used

I did purchase the CP48 from a golf course. It was lightly used as they had bigger equipment. The pulverizer was removed along with the back half of the unit. I added a deflector plate, the collection box and hydraulic cylinder. In fact in a couple of hours you could switch it back to a pulverizer. As I understand those were not cheap units and it's construction shows it. I got a deal that was too good to pass up for this project.

just a couple of short operational videos. Grass is pretty thin this time of year.

How do you think it would handle heavy leaves? Can you post a picture of the actual sweeper part?

Yes they are used by golf courses. The CP48 is a core pulverizer. It is designed to pick up the cores after the greens are aerated then pulverize them. They are usually used in tandem with a TC125 which is the collection unit that follows up and actually does the sweeping.

Looks like you did a nice adaption for clippings and leaf collection. Keep us updated on how it works!!

skunk that is exactly what I did. I was tired of working with what is out there and wanted something bigger to save time. This set up saves a lot of time as I can run the sweeper and deck to clean up. It's way overpowered for sweeping. For grass I'm never above half throttle w that 12hp.

4570Man, We'll find out but I think it will do great job on leaves up to a point. More than enough hp and raising the front skirt should do it. If I lower the brushes to contact the ground this thing will take grass and all, down to bare ground, so those wet leaves flat on the ground might be a problem. It was designed to pick up cores so that should give you an idea. In grass the thicker the better.
