compact utility tractors

last year i was looking for a replacement for my JD750. It would be a smaller tractor to compliment my larger tractor. wanted to stay under 26HP wanted 3 range hydro, which eliminated a lot of tractors, and i wanted lighter weight. I was going to mostly be mowing with it and some of it would be over and around the septic tank and field. I spent a lot of time looking at the B2601, the B2650, and the L2501. The L was too heavy for what I wanted. the B2560 was a lot more tractor than the B2601 for about 1200 more.

however with only one tractor I would look at the heaviest tractor I could get under 26hp (if that is where you want to stay)

I have a Kioti 2610 HST and am very pleased with my decision to get it. Our last tractor was a John Deere 850 and the Kioti had much more power. We have 40 acres here. About half of it is fields and the rest is woods. I've been cutting firewood and hauling it back to the barn and the Kioti is a real workhorse. I recently purchased a 2 bottom plow so I can plant some crops. I tested it out and it works great in our soil. I can't wait to get some seeds in.
