Bought a 3535 mid-winter to replace an aging ferguson to-30. Only ran a snowblower on it then, but even then I noticed this issue. With the factory top link shortened as far as it would go and the 3pt raised all the way up in the transport position, the back of the snowblower was just barely off the ground, 1' at the most. Normally I'd just go out and buy a shorter top link but this snowblower has a handle that sticks out of the front, with a shorter link it looked like it would be in danger of smashing into the back of the tractor so I lived with it.

Now that it's spring I'm gearing up to do other things with the tractor. Hooked up my disk today and again the factory top link is too long- shortened all the way the rear of the disk is pretty much dragging on the ground when raised fully. And again there's a handle on this disk- in this case it's an adjustment to change the pitch of the disk gangs is very close to hitting the back of the tractor... specifically where I had it set about 1/2" from smashing the remotes on the back when raised. I've moved the lever, of course the gangs aren't at the pitch I want now but it's the only way this is going to work I think. Off to the farm store to pick up a shorter top link tomorrow....

Thought I'd get some blading done... my back blade is a newer vintage king kutter model. Well no handles to interfere but again the factory top link is too long.

As I look at the back of the machine what I really think is it seems like the lower links are really too short for this old equipment. IDK, is it just me or is there something to this?

On the tractor side of the top link do you have 3 positions to put the link in? If so, moving it to the lowest setting will give you a little more implement height when lifted. Or you can buy a shorter top link from your local tractor supply store. You can also check with your dealer to make sure you have the correct length lower arms. Perhaps they were changed at some point prior to your purchase.

Harry Ferguson invented the three point hitch. No one has been able to improve its principles.

Your older implements will work with your new tractor if they worked on the Ferguson, so long as your Mahindra has an un-modified, Category 1 Three-Point-Hitch, in common with the Ferguson.

On my Kubota L3560 there are also two pin positions for varying lift on the Lower Links.

This would be a good time to thoroughly read your Mahindra 3535 OPERATOR'S MANUAL.

My 2 bottom Ferguson plow worked fine on the MF 35. On the newer JD 5105 or the JD 3038E, the coulter is right on the PTO shaft. On many of the older tractors, the PTO was about even with the back of the seat, and it seemed as though the 3 point arms were a bit longer. The newer tractors have the PTO shaft further back behind the seat, which causes some problems with older implements. Also depends on the type of tires you have. Some members have trouble with implements hitting their tires when raised to mid-tire. Several causes, but if you do plan on using several older 3 point implements, it would be worth it to do some measuring or testing before tractor purchase. Hopefully just changing the pin location will help your problem. Good luck.
