Yesterday I was using my dads 2610. I had a round bale on the back (about 1300 pounds) and it had no problem picking it up and moving around. I used the FEL to move a piece of pipe. Again no problems. Loaded it on the trailer and it went to his house (note that the bale was let down on the trailer) which is about 15 minutes away. This morning he raised the bale up and drove off the trailer. No problem there either. He then tried to raise the FEL. It didn't so he set the bale down thinking it might have something to do with it. No change except now neither will raise. The motor doesn't lug down when working the controls. He pulled a line from the FEL and nothing came out when he worked the joystick. So far he's cleaned the screen and looked for stuff out of place. Nothing seems to be working. Any ideas?

I'm not sure how your tractor is setup but when mine stopped working it was the relief valve in the loader controller stuck open. There should also be one in the 3ph that could be stuck open. Other than that you have to make sure the pump is supplying pressure.

Sounds like either the pump puked or the coupler to it grenaded. Can you check the pump coupler somehow? Pressure gauges are really needed. Do you have access to any?

No access to pressure gauges but as I said it has zero pressure, just dribbles out of the hose. He has book for it written in Japenese/chinese/whateverese and noticed there is a shear key. He's gonna pull it apart in the morning and see if failed.

UPDATE: Will he tore it down today. It was infact a shear key. He went to TSC today and picked one up. Hoping to put it back together in the morning and Genny should be running again.

Phew, couplers are cheaper than pumps.

True about that. The key was only a buck or so. He had to modify it a little bit but its working again.
