Up here the concrete alone would be at least $1800. Add on the rebar and labor, it seems like a good price

I did all the prep work, form, leveling and rebar per instructions from the boss of Inline Concrete, Inline Concrete | Concrete Cutting and Core Drilling. The cement came from State Sand in Belfast and he did all that scheduling programing with a gung ho get her done attitude, the bill for cement was 2k, Inline guy charge me $800.00 for the work he and his small crew did, I thought was fair because no way I could do the work he did.

I remember the concrete pour job when my dad built our house back in '49. It was a ranch style - about 2200 square feet - all on-grade slab. There were acres of old smelly burlap and sprinklers everywhere for about a week. It was my job to ensure the entire slab was wet - all day long. We got most all our hose and sprinklers from neighbors. When the concrete had finally cured to a state where it didn't need watering - we invited all the neighborhood to a big Bar-B-Q.

That's where I learned that squirting everything with a garden hose was fun for about half an hour - - beyond that, it became a job.

You had a much better water source than we did. :)
