Confused on 647 tiller and Imatch

I just bought and installed my imatch today and everything was going fine. I was able to hitch up to my RC2048 cutter in about 20 seconds without leaving my seat, SWEET!

HOWEVER, I can't figure out what I am doing wrong with the 647 tiller. It says it is imatch compatible but the pin for the top hook is about four inches too tall.

I tried everything and finally measured and the distance from lower pins to top hook pin is about 19" the mower's distance is about 15"

Is it possible that Deere sold a 647 that isn't imatch compatable? Did I get a screwy misbuild or am I doing something completely wrong. Help!

Could be it is screwed up from the factory, I give you $500 for the tiller and have someone pick it up in the morning. hehe


Look at the mounting of the lower hitch points and see if they can be turned over to provide the proper setup distance.

Thanks for the offer Steve but I think I'll check out the pins first! If the pins idea doesn't work I will be visiting the boys at Pecos Valley first thing in the morning!

Problem solved! Imatch worked GREAT!!! The brackets for the pins that bolt to the tiller were upside down :confused2: Thanks for the pictures and the help Steve
