Can Anyone help. I have a 2005 BX23 I recently have had trouble starting it. I've checked all safety switches and
after reading som threads i decided to intall a relay bypass kit AM107421.
My problem is: Where do i connect the red wire? Is it to the side of the starter or to the lug behind the starter which looks like the solenoid?

I added a similar relay to a JD 750 I once had, so I don't know the details of the Kubota kit. Can you say where the red wire comes from?? Basically, you want the wire from the coil on your new relay kit to go to the key switch on your ignition. This should energize the new relay when you turn the key to engage the starter. There should be another wire to make the ground connection for the relay coil, but it could possibly depend on the new relay being mounted to the metal frame somewhere to pick up the ground. There should be two other connections to make, one will connect to the heavy gauge wire coming from the battery and going to the starter, the other wire will connect to the solenoid that engages the starter motor.

The JD750 I had used to "click" a lot when I turned the key over, once I put the extra relay on, it NEVER did it again. It cranked right up everytime after installing it. It doesn't really bypass it, it essentially adds a second wire to the solenoid to decrease the wiring resistance, which will help reduce voltage drops across that circuit. This will also allow the inrush current to increase some so that the plunger in the solenoid (if yours is like the JD750, that is) will "slam" in harder.

Thanks, I finally figured it out. Hooked it up but Still no start. I get two dash lights when I turn on the key, the glow plug light then comes on with a series of cliks froma solenoid switch under the dash. When I turn key all the way over, nothing happens.
I'm going to check the fuel stop switch next to see if that has any voltage going to it. I have voltage at the starter, just wont turn.

Check voltage at the positive cable post on your starter and the plug-on wire with key switch in crank position. Make sure the negitive lead to your voltmeter is connected to the starter body it's self. If you have above 9.5 volts with swith in crank position at both wires, you have a failed starter or solenoid.
