Tractor Sizing Considering buying Yanmar 2010 2wd

Hi, I'm new to this forum but thought i'd jump right in with a question. I am considering buying a Yanmar 2010 2 wheel drive with a front end loader from a private party. Main uses for it would be working up the garden with a 4 foot double disc ( mounted) and powering a 4 ft brush mower as well as blading and other misc. jobs. My concern is traction issues using the disc with a 2wd tractor with 22 inch tires. My old 8N has 28s so no problem there. What do you all think? Also I don't know how the power shift works and what problems if any may be expected from it.The asking price is $4500. Reasonable? I will appreciate all replies.

About the Yanmar 2010, that is a fairly light tractor for discing imo. You might consider using a tiller instead. The soil is sandy enough you might be able to use a disc but I would want to try out before buying.

I love the Powershift on my 276D. It's very reliable. Mine gave me trouble a couple of years ago. An easily accessible spring had broken. A new spring and gasket fixed it for less than $50.

Thanks for the reply. You may have guessed I am in Animas Creek valley at Caballo. May look at the tractor this weekend. If it won't handle the disc I have some other options. Will get back here. This is a wonderfully helpful forum.
