JD 4400
Hi everyone,
I am considering the purchase of a 1998 JD5300. It has approx 1500 hrs on the meter. It is equipped with a loader and turf tires. The machine was stored outside so it is a little weather beaten. The two rear remotes control the loader. ( is this normal?) It also has power beyoind. The Trans is the 9/3 collar shift. My use for this machine would be mostly for mowing and baling hay. THE only loaderwork I would dois what my 4400 cut couldn't handle. I gladly welcome any advice or opinions on this machine from those of you with experience with this type of tractor as well as pricing information.
Thank you,
Eldon

If the 5300 is MWFD it will out lift & out work the 4400. Rear remotes are normal with hoses running to the loader. I mow & bale with a 5200. It has enough weight to bale and pull the bale wagon behind the baler. Saves a trip and lots of effort. I would get ag tires though.
