Constant clicking with keyswitch in preheat position

I have a new to me Kubota BX24. When I put the keyswitch in the preheat position there is a constant clicking sound until I actually start the tractor and then the clicking stops. I read on another thread on this forum about the use of the preheat setting that also described a clicking sound but no one reference it as being a problem. So my question is, is this clicking normal? Another internet search turned up another person finding that bad connections at the keyswitch was providing low voltage to the fuel pump relay causing the clicking. Ant insight would be appreciated.

On my BX24 the fuel pump itself does the clicking. You'd continue to hear it while cranking or running if the engine wasn't so loud

If the bx 24 is the same setup as a BX2660 (which I believe it is the same just has backhoe) the first click of the key turn activates the fuel pump. You actually have to turn the key slightly past this and hold it (you will see another light on the dash light up should look like a coil) that would be your glows, hold that position for as long as you want to preheat. the first click is not a preheat

Sounds perfect to me, and I understand that while it may drive you nuts, you can let it click for a LONG time if you are working on your tractor to fix something. I worried that I would burn it out if it built up any back pressure, but the dealer said no.
