3-Point Hitch Contro lever

The control lever for my 3 point hitch (JD 4110) has graduation from 2 to 9. When new, I could set the lever at the lowest point (2) and the back blade would be all the way down. As soon as I moved the lever up just a little (i.e. to 3) the blade would raise a little. (like it should) Now I have to move the lever to between 5 and 6 before it starts to raise. Anyone know of any adjustment or anything that would cause this? It reacts the same way going down--as soon as I hit 5, it is down. It seems to go all the way up when I move the lever all the way up (to 9) Any help would be appreciated.

There are procedures to follow that can be found in the tech (service) manual which is available. Or maybe you have that already.

Is the speed control all the way open? Do you know where the sensitivity adjustment is located and how to set it?

beenthere, I don't have a service manual-all I have ver had to do is add fuel and change oil etc. By sensitivity adjustment, are referring to the speed of the drop of the 3 point? If so, I do know where it is. I don't believe it is all the way open. Does that affect the control lever too?

Near as I can tell in the service manual, the procedures start out saying to have the "speed drop" all the way open. Then the sensitivity adjustment is the next procedure.
I didn't continue to follow it after that as there seemed to be several more steps involved.
If you don't intend to get the service manual (which I'd suggest you might find very useful to have), I would look for the time to spend chasing more info down for you. Let me know.

Thanks BT, I am starting a search for a manual, but I am trying to avoid paying an arm and leg. (One site I found had one for $275--eek!) If anyone knows of a person or place that is reasonable, I am all ears.

Should be in the $100 neighborhood or less. Might even try your Deere dealer. The 4110 is TM1984, I understand.
That model is on my CD which is DB1481 and includes many of the early 2000 compact utility tractors.
EBay another good possibility.
