I have a Wolverine control valve, single spool, by Prince, model #MB11C5C1, that will be used to control a hydraulic, bucket mounted, weed wacker. The letters "CT" and "P" are cast into the valve body above the side ports and I was wondering if someone could tell me what these letters stand for? I'm guessing one is a pressure port from the pump and the other is the return to the sump.
Thanks.
If you have an open center hyd system, install the PB screw in the PB port and then install the valve in series with the other valves.
P is the IN port.
Tank port is on the other side of the valve.
C = Carry over or PBor Power Beyond.
The flow to the new valve will come from the FEL valve PB port.
If you use the FEL while using the weed whacker, you will/may lose flow to the hyd motor.
If you install the new valve before the FEL, and you detent the motor valve, the rest of the hyd system will have no flow.
The motor flow will exit through the OUT port, while using the motor.
When not using the hyd motor, the pump flow will pass through the PB port to the ext valve.
Did you check to see if there is a detent for this valve? If not, just bungee the lever to operate the motor.
Here is a 3 position detent for that valve.

The relief valve comes set to 2000 psi for this valve. Set all relief the same unless you only want 2000 psi relief for the hyd motor.
For a fwd only rotation, you could have used this variable flow control valve to operate the hyd motor.
