I bought a new 5010 gear with cab a couple months ago and find that, compared to my old Ford, it is difficult to set the height of an implement on the three point hitch. With the Ford I can carefully move the quandrant controll and set the height exactly where I want it. On the Mahindra though it's up or down. Is this normal? Does anyone know how this might be corrected?

The position control lever only moves to the extremes? So if you have the lever half way, the hitch just does not move? :confused2: Obvious that something is wrong, that is not how the 3pt hitch is meant to work. I have operated the same tractor once off and on for a day, the hitch on it was fine.

If you have a speed control knob try adjusting it so the implement raises and lowers more slowly. From there you can set the lower stop easier.

That's definitely not right. I have a 5010 HST and have no problem raising/lowering the 3PH to any position from fully up to fully down.

Do you have two levers??? One is draft control
and if draft control is on it will act that way.

I tried using the knob that adjsts how fast the hitch falls. It's a little better but this knob does not control how fast the implement rises so I still do not get the fine degree of adjustment that I'm used to. It seems that it needs a flow control that works in both directions.

There is no draft control lever.
