Convert Generator to NG and Electric Start

My dad has a Briggs and Straton Generator. It has no frills, but gets the job done. It has about 150 hours on it in 8 years.

He can't pull start it anymore, can a shop add electric start?

In the northeast power outages rarely take out natural gas. I know he would like the generator to run on both natural gas and gasoline. Is there is kit for this motor?

Does the generator assembly need any maintenance? I thought it was maintenance free, but I am not sure.

Check out this web site... Briggs Stratton Engines Family Numbers I bought a kit from them last summer and installed in on my Generac with no problems.

I bought the tri-fuel kit since I wanted to use it with propane and gasoline backup. Propane doesn't "go bad" as does gasoline and it takes fewer pulls to start. Sounds like you would be connecting to NG which should yield good results although it might limit where you can place the unit.Can't help you with a conversion to electric start.
