Convert IH 574 from Lucas to NA Alternator

Can anyone tell me which model of NA (i.e AC Delco) alternator would fit the IH 574? I have a Lucas on it now and am considering a winter project to completely re-wire and modernize the beast. Currently, only batt and starter works and all wiring has been "messed" with by previous owner(s). Many wires to no where, etc. Snake's wedding inside panels and there are no lights fitted. Would like to run head, tail and work lights as well as some aux power circuits (trailer, etc). Thanks in advance for any info. PS: I have searched the Case IH forums.

Since it is a Lucas alternator, I'm assuming your tractor is a European model. Here is a link to Case/IH. Do a parts search for the 574, but select the North American model. About all I saw listed for the N.A models, were Delco units.

i have int 2500 which is a industrial tractor which is the same as the 574.i replaced my alternator this summer.it had a delco on it which was putting out not enough to keep the battery charged.this guy that repairs tractor gave me a universal one.the old one had 3 wire hookup.the new one has one wire.i have to say it sure works great,never a problem since.it was 90.00 well worth it.
