I have a Kohler powered T7 which came from the factory with the propane fuel setup. I had a little problem with it freezing up yesterday and, since I don't understand anything about the propane components (regulator thingy, mixer thingy) I have decided to just make my life simpler and convert it to gas. It has a pristine, never used, fuel tank and filler, so that should be easy, but I'm wondering if the carburetor on this thing if different than what comes on the gas models. If not it's not a big expense to replace it with something Chinese these days, but I would like to see if I can preserve the existing choke and throttle linkage setup to keep things simple.
Has anybody done something like this or who can provide simple guidance about what I'm up against?
