convert pto tiller to hydraulics

I didn't have much luck with the search function. Has anyone converted a pto driven tiller to hydraulics for use with a skid steer? My skid steer and CTL are both high flow so I should have plenty of power.

I can't really justify 4-5k for a hydraulic powered tiller

I was thinking more of a TSC County line tiller and adding a hydraulic motor

Shouldn't be too hard to do.

Once you know the GPM of your machine, you can easily figure out the hydraulic motor displacement. Keep in mind you will want 540 RPM at the motor.

A bit of fabrication, and you're good to go.

A couple of things to consider.
Are you going to replace the PTO shaft with hydraulic motor or try to direct drive the tiller via belts or chain? This will help determine requirement of motor RPM.

Do you know what flows and pressure your equipment provides. This information and the desired motor RPM will allow you to calculate the appropriate motor displacement.

Make sure motor selected is rated for the pressure of your equipment. Some models of skid steers are running 4,000 PSI

Why just limit yourself to the tiller? Get something like this so you can run any 3pt attachment.

I have a Deere 320G skid steer with high flow. It's 3200 psi and 30gpm. 41 hp on hi flow
My 329e compact track loader is high flow 3450 psi and 33 gpm. 65 hp on hi flow

My plan is to drive the pto shaft with the hydraulic motor. I hope to make it removable so I can put it on a brush hog as well
