I just converted my Kioti tractor over to the TLB-style engine speed
control, from the standard dash-mounted lever.
Tractor-Loader-Backhoes (TLBs) have their engine speed controls accessible
to the driver while operating the hoe OR drving the tractor. My Kubota
B21 used a control lever on the right fender and it was very comfortable and
easy to use. Much easier than leaning over or stretching to reach the dash-
mounted lever.
My tractor is a HST, but you still need to set the engine speed on gear
tractors when using a hoe. First photo shows where the cable acts on the
FI system. Two cable controllers can be used, retaining the dash-mounted
unit, or using a foot controller. I tossed my OEM dash-mounted unit
because I stole its friction disk.
I bought a 67" cable with bulkhead mounts at each end and high quality
wire rope cable. I found just the right size from a dealer who sold me
a brake control cable for a Puch scooter.
2nd photo shows the raw weld-up. This bracket will be mounted inside the
frame that supports the 3-pt lever and the AUX hyd lever(s).
Final photo shows the finished installation. My new lever operates in the
slot reserved for the draft-control lever. Works great!
