Convince me not to buy a Branson 4720CH w/ FEL

Everything I know about tractors tells me the 4720CH is a very capable machine that is well worth the price point. Convince me otherwise, or beat your chest and tell me how great the machine is.

14 years - Century/Branson 2535 - 1100 + hours - heavy durable tractor. No frills, but very functional. Only "problem" limited dealer network in my area. If you have a good dealer go for it. W Jones

Was the cylinder not covered by warranty?

We have a couple of good dealers within an hour of us.

Can't buy parts from a well run online store/parts lookup like Messicks has. Big Red has an online catalog (and helpful personnel) but the online parts diagrams are not that great.

My 3725's front axle leaks from the filler/vent on the right side when operating on side hills (which I do all the time) even with the extension my dealer sent me for free. I have to check and add fluid periodically.

Some parts are kinda expensive- the rubber valve on the air filter housing is $35 from Branson. I'm still looking for a source from Donaldson, who makes the housing and the filter. Periodic maintenance filters are roughly the same price as a similar size Kubota. Wix lists most Bransons (not mine) but I prefer OEM filters at least while in warranty.

I've had no real problems just little things.

The Branson decal on the side of mine got scrapped partially off when I was pushing a bunch of sawed off tree limbs around. Not sure that will be covered by warranty. Seriously, the only minor troubles I have had the dealer reacted immediately to fix under warranty, no questions asked. After 300 hrs, I am not sorry in the least that i bought it. The biggest issue I had was the alternator failed after just a few hour. Like I say, the dealer sent me a new one immediately.
