I replaced the coolant in the 270 today for the first time ever. I was looking at the manual and saw you are supposed to do it once a year or every 800 hrs. I had missed the once a year part, it's been almost four. I was expecting a mess when draining the old stuff but it looked very clean. I used Prestone flush and I figured it would be a mess but again it was clean upon draining. I flushed it a few times with water and refilled with FleetGaurd from TSC. I was surprised to see it was a purple color. My manual stated refill capacity was 5.5 qts and it took 7 to fill it. I was not surprised to find the discrepancy, when I did the 50 hr service all the refill cap's were off quite a bit.

I better get on that also. I haven't changed the coolant in my 270 yet either.

I changed oil and filter today. I used the Wix replacement filter for the Daedong filters I have been using. The Wix filter is larger (taller), like used to be on a car. It adds about .4 qts to the overall oil capacity, puts it right at 5 qts to middle of fill range on stick. The hood just clears the filter by 3/4 inch or so. I was sitting there looking at it while refilling oil and was concerned there wasn't adequate clearance, but it was fine.
