My B7610 has been leaking coolant and I'm not sure exactly where it's coming from. It usually occurs after I have used it and it has set for awhile but occassionally it will drip while running it. The drip comes from underneath but I can't tell if its lower or dripping down from above.I tend to think the water pump is a likely suspect but I'm not sure. I looked online at warranty coverage as I still am under one but it looks like the cooling system is exempt. Anyone had a leak with a 7610 that sounds like this and does anyone know if it would be covered under warranty?

I'm assuming you've looked in the overflow reservoir?

How old is the unit? I'd start by calling dealer and see what they think. I wouldn't expect hoses to be covered, but if it's a new unit, radiator and water pump should be (unless something poked hole in rad. due to negligence). Does it run hot (temp guage above normal), does screen need cleaning, may just be fluid coming out overflow tube, weak cap?

might be a cold water leak.

try tightening up the hose clamps, where you can get to them.

I know that make dyes you can put in the antifreeze and then with a "special" light, see where it is leaking out.

Yep, that's a real easy place to start. I noticed some coolant on the floor of my garage and started to chase it's origin. One spot was on the frame where the FEL mounts and the other was on the front differential. Since it was such a small amount the track didn't show itself very well but after a little time, I found the hose going to the pump was the culprit and tightened it up. After a couple hours of seat time, no more sign on the floor. :D

A easy little trick that works sometimes is to dust your engine with flour or powder in the suspect area. Any leak will wash the powder away and is easily traced back to it's origin.
