I have a serious growth of Coontail - grassy growth in my 3/4 acre pond.

Is Coontail bad for the bass & perch fish?

Should I try to kill it off? If so, what should I use to kill it?

Excellent articles; thanks.

The articles seem a bit vague as to whether it is better to leave the grass or kill it off. Either way has its drawbacks. One thing I did pick up was the close appearance of coontail vs pond weed. Very similar in appearance.

The more I "learn" the less I know. I'm thinking that its time to bring in a professional before I damage the fish crop for the sake of grassy growth.
