Knew if I waited long enough, something would turn up...

Wagner model 720, 2 speed, cordless cauking gun.
Walmart regular price $46.97
Walmart discount rack price $20.00.

Course, now the caulking is almost done and the wife is asking what I needed that $20.00 toy for. For next time honey, that caulk is only good for 20 years or so and by then I may be too old to squeeze the handle on a regular gun. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I got to play with a Guidelamp cordless grease gun year before last. Not cheap though, and the govt takes a $200 tax on top of the selling price.

I do have a Harbor Freight pneumatic caulk gun, and it's one of those things - if you did it all day long, it could either save you a ton of work, or you might could do it just as fast anyway and Arnold Schwartzeneiger would be afraid to shake your hand. However, if you're one of us amateurs that has a lot of it to do now, but not enough to get really good at it - it can REALLY make a difference. You can caulk about as fast as you can walk with it.

Update on the Wagner 720. It's run somewhere over a dozen tubes of Alex plus caulk so far on the first set of batteries. It's fairly easy to get a smooth bead both at high and low speeds. Only real problem is the standard size tubes of caulk don't last very long.

Anyone have a source for an air powered gun that handles the big tubes? Would save a lot of time on subflooring jobs. I hate using the manual guns for the big tubes and the small tubes only last about 1 1/2 sheets of plywood. Since I'd have the compressor there already to run the nailer, air would seem to be the least costly way.
