Any idea ,advice It is very welcome.

Thank you in advance

PS Everything started with the "innocent"... frost plug replacement:.But I like to do a good job.

I use a couple dabs of weatherstrip adhesive and glue it in place. The block, and engine plate should be dry, or the gasket will squeeze out of place.

About the bell house and shaft area.
That mess is pretty normal but after all that work with taking the tractor apart to this point, I would go a little further. At least I did on my 4000 and that turned out to be the right decision.
There are oil seals for the shafts and if any of these are leaking you will get transmission oil right into your clutch assembly. That may not be the situation for the moment, but I would renew them now when things are apart. I did and when the "axles assembly" (retainer with pto axle) where out, I discovered that the bearing in the assembly was worn. It is very easy to take things apart, this is what I did:

Drained the transmission box.
Cleaned the bell house (I got half a gallon of dirt).
Disassembled the clutch release arrangement.
Removed the axle for the above, just to renew its bushings.
Detached the retainer (the inner set of screws) and withdrawed it.
Took the retainer and pto axle apart and renewed bearing and seals.
I also detached the big plate, just to renew its gasket.
Then I put things together with new gaskets and a new clutch release bearing.

When you reattach the big plate it is important to set the srews squarely, as the shop manual says, it is thin and might crack if set unevenly.
