Correct hose sleve sizing for 1/2 JIC fittings

Can someone please check my logic. I am going to be using 1/2 JIC fittings on some of my 1/2 in hose connection. Some of these will be the 1/2 in female ends that appear to measure 1" across the flat. It appears I will be putting them on after the hose are made. So I think I should get the 1.22" diameter product as I think the 1.05" diameter will be to tight to slide on, or does this stuff stretch a bit? Going to use the DHH nylon product, unless there is a better one.

There is a chance I can get this stuff put on when I get the hoses made but not sure. If I can should I got the the 1.05" for my 1/2 inch hoses? I don't think my Bobcat shop carries any sleeve material.

Which is larger, the distance across the corners of the hex or the crimp diameter? I would definitely get something that you are 110% sure will fit over the ends since you can easily tie the cover in place with wire ties.

You got me - thanks for the hint to re-measure across the corners. Something in the back of my mind said something was not right.

Just draw a Circle on paper of size sleeve, cut it out and see if it will go over fitting.

A hexagonal with 1" across the flats will be just a smidgen under 1.16 across the corners so you will need the 1.22" sleeves.

That's what I went with - arrived yesterday. Now on to " some assembly required"
