Great web site!!!

I have a few questions about the correct mounting links/arms for a 60" MMM on a 790. The tractor has the usual two arm mount in the front and the two turnbuckle type brackets that attach to the three point in the back.

I have a manual for the MMM and researched the JP parts diagrams without a lot of luck, not much detail and in fact some of the part diagrams show an intermediate link? I tried the local JD store but they are not a lot of help these days as they are a combination lumber and JD store.

I would appreciate a picture of your mower attachment links.

The final question is do you compensate/adjust your mower levelness for running the PTO.

Welcome to TBN! It is a great website.

Are you missing these straps? If so, then yes you are missing a major part of the lift system.

Your links should be very similar to mine. Also, not sure what your question is about leveling for the PTO?

The level mower deck question is a good one. The answer is no, you need not worry about the mower gearbox input shaft always being parallel to the transmission output shaft. There are 2 Cardan type joints in the prop shaft which very nearly eliminates all shaft speed variations as the shaft turns. You should not feel any wobble vibration no matter what height or attack angle you set the mower to.

True that the Cardan joints will eliminate any driveshaft rotation issues. If the concern is keeping the deck level, the lack of center draft arms would be a big problem. Those arms along with the front mount arms create a parallelogram so when it is lifted at the back the deck stays level by also moving rearward. Otherwise it is going to tilt.

I just went through these mental gymnastics this spring putting a MMM on my 770. Same setup as your 790; in fact, the mower I bought came off of a 790.

It won't lift without those center links.

PM me with your email and I'll send you the pictures of mine.
