I recently purchased a B7100 with a woods DUal 145 loader installed. I have lately been using a pto powered wood chipper for about 2 hours at a time. When I finish using it, the hydraulics seem very hot to the touch and the front end loader is very weak. After doing some research it seems as though my loader may not be plumbed correctly. It has a pressure line from the pump into the in on the loader valve, than a line from the out port of the valve to run to the 3 point . There is a plug in the power beyond port of the loader valve. Should i replumb the loader so the power beyond(with proper kit installed) runs to power the three point, than add a return line to the hydraulic reservoir from the out port of the loader valve. Could this current set up be a reason it gets so hot? Thank you for any help. I will attach some pictures for reference. 20171207_111032.jpg20171207_111041.jpg20171207_111050.jpg20171207_111111.jpg

I had a B7100HST but I bought it new with a Kubota FEL (non-quick attach) so it was never removed and I don't think there was any connection between it and the PTO.

I also had a B7100HST with factory loader. It had a line back to the 3pt and a hose that ran to an extension on the transmission filler valve in front of the seat. I think that was the tank line.

You should be able to find the correct factory routing by looking at the parts diagrams for the B7100 and factory loader (1630 I think) on line.

What you are proposing to do sounds like the right way to me. I don't know the answer to your heat question though. If it were mine I would try it for the cost of a hose, a couple fittings, and a PB adapter. A least then you will have peace of mind. Be interesting to hear what you find out.

A small update on this issue. The heat issue only seemed to happen when running the chipper for a long time. Im guessing maybe the chipper is just bogging the tractor down too much, causing the pto to heat up the hydraulic system through the shaft. It doesnt seem to be a heat issue when just using the tractor and loader. Also have ordered a Power beyond plug for the loader valve so will install when I get it.

One of the primary uses of my B7100 was running a PTO chipper that was a little too large for the tractor. It did ok as long as I didn't feed too many large branches too quickly. I never noticed a problem with oil heating. The PTO system is driven directly off the clutch bypassing the HST. It does not use the hydraulics at all. I always put the transmission in neutral so the HST was not turning.
