Update: I went back out today and the same was happening, but the tractor was on a slight down hill and the back wheels started to lift. Had it happen a couple time more. Sometimes the back wheels would lift and other nothing. I think the snow is just frozen harder than I had though and the relief on this tractor is not very loud when the tractor is at 2000 rpm. So at least in my case I do not believe anything is wrong, except operator getting used to the equipment. A little disappointed the loader is not a bit more powerful.

Let me ask you this: If the loader lifted the rear tires off of the ground, how could you possibly make use of a more powerful loader? Now if you ballast the rear properly and then the rear end stays on the ground, one of two things will then happen, the load the FEL is trying to lift will come up off of the ground, or the relief valve will open and the load will not rise. Make sense?

Guess it is more if a wish for a bigger tractor to go with a bigger loader. I suppose we all wish for bigger equipment at times. The loader lift seems well matched to the size and weight of the tractor and it is the size I wanted. Makes me wonder though I was seriously considering the LS G3033H which is about 500lb lighter but can lift about 450 lb more with the loader, one must need loaded tires on that machine.

Loaded tires, and proper ballast on the 3pt, would both be helpful..

Ha-ha...I had the same feeling when I first blew the engine on my DK55 and traded it on a CK35hst. That CK is small and weak compared to the DK, but I love it now. I have all 4 wheels loaded and I add the box blade or something if I need more. I work a lot in the woods and the small tractor is better, but yes, I do miss the raw power of the DK55. I can lift very large logs with the CK though. My wife and I were walking in the woods the other day and I pointed to this broken limb way up on a tree and told her I had reached up with the DK55 grapple and snapped it off, the CH35 won't go anywhere near that.
DK55 - Here's how I believe it blew. I had been bush hogging for 30 minutes or so when it started smoking, and when I opened the hood it was on fire. I put the fire out and started adding water in the radiator. Not long after that oil started coming out the bottom. I can only guess that there was no water in the radiator. I've never had an issue with the radiator and I definately didn't check it. But the cold water warped the motor. I definately check the water on the CK35
