Hello all,
I have a mitsubishi grey market tractor with a reverse direction pto... I would like to use the countyline post hole
auger from tractor suplly co.. Can anyone tell me if the pinion gears in the digger gear box are straight cut or helical (like a ring and pinion)? I am wanting to find a lefthand auger and modify it to work with the unit if the gears will work spinning reverse. Also, anyone know where to find a left hand auger? Thanks for any help.

About this: you will be better off purchasing a reverser to bring the rotation back to the proper direction I woudl check with agsupply/belarususa and ask about one of thier reversers as it will be less of an issue to use a reverser on your power take off.

check with American Auger first and if they do not have one they should be able to direct you to a manufacturer that does

Japanese PTO Reversers Dixon, IL ( Len Sheaffer) knows as much or more about grey market machines as anyone in the U.S. . Len makes new and sells used reversers and reducers for them.

As Leonz said, you would be better off getting a reverser if you plan on ever using any other PTO attachments because the vast majority of them ( probably 99%) are made for clockwise rotation.
