Congrats! I have an older 5' King Kutter as well which was perfect for my L3400, but not wide enough for the XR4046. I'd like to bump up to a 6' or 7' one of these days but it's hard to justify the expense for something that is only used for food plots once every couple of years.
I had the same feeling for several years but I just bit the bullet and did it the next day I say a listing for a new 6 footer for a couple hundred less but such is life I guess. I really was looking to get something that was quick hitch compatible (because mine wasn't) cover my wheel tracks and basically get that monkey off of my back so to speak, I use mine more that you do also. If you do go up in size I would go with the 6' not the 7' I am not sure you would be happy with a 7', I have 47 HP and although there isn't a problem with the 6' there is a notable difference in going up that extra foot and depending on the soil type it could be even more because I am mostly sandy ground. Just MHO.
