I was bush hogging and hit a big rock.
The cutter stopped turning so figured I had broke the shear pin. I pull up to a level spot and looked back to see the stump jumper and blades laying on the ground. The weld holding the jumper to the shaft broke.:confused2:
Don't know if this is common but the weld does not look that substantial for the metal pieces it is holding together. Was going to complain to TSC but figured I would just clean it up and get it welded up at work tomorrow.
What I don't understand is why the shear bolt did not break.
I thought it was there to break before anything else did. It came with the cutter, what grade bolt do I need to get. I want to replace it just to ease my mind about the next time I hit something.
