Cover Question 4300 size vs 3720

I've been looking at covers for my 4300. I see some nice canvas covers tahat cover the main body of the tractor that are called Large cover for compact tractors and fit the following models: 2320, 2520, 2720, 3120, 3320, 3520, 3720, 3203 and 4105. I think the 3720 is close to the size of my 4300. Anybody know how the size of these models relates to the 4300 and therefore if the cover would fit?

All the 3x20 series are the same size.
What you might need to do is check the Deere site for the specs on the different tractors and see if they're the same or close. Did you ask the cover sales people?

The 4300 and the 3x20's should be nearly identical in size. They are both "mid-frame" size machines.

Yeah, I asked the cover people from various sources and of course get various answers. Some say yep, probably and others probably not. I checked the john deere site, but couldn't find overall dimensions for it in the specs. But that's what I was thinking -- that they are about the same size. Anybody else know size comparisons?

The place to check sizes is in the broshures. If you know the size of your tractor check the broshure for the 3320.

Thanks for the brochure, but no linear measurements in the brochure either for the size of the 3720.

The only difference I believe would be in the fixed ROPS of a 4300 being shorter than the standard folding ROPS of the 3720. If the 4300 has the folding ROPS, I would believe the cover would fit both.

I was going to trade up to the 3720 (more HP, "same" frame) but didn't like not being able to have a fixed ROPS. So I had in the deal that I would keep my fixed ROPS and switch with the 3720. Measurements indicated they would switch. Ended up deciding the 4300 was just fine for me.

Thanks beenthere, that's what I was lookinig for. And with regards to all the 3x20 series being the same, maybe I'm just not familiar with the new numbering. I was comparing a 4xxx series to 3x20 series, so that in itself means they are all the same size?

The 4000 series is a little larger. Hoods are about the same, in fact the same hood is used on the 3x20 and the 4x20 series, but wheel bases and tire sizes are different, the 4000 series being larger and higher.

The only difference in the 3x20's (3120 to the 3720) is engine hp.
