Oil & Fuel Crack or bad weld in oil tank

It is so bizarre. I live in a land where farming and logging are king, and welding necessary for daily operation. There are steel mills just miles from my home. My neighbor erects steel buildings. And when I ask, only one name comes up and that is the guy who said $500 to fix.. I feel like I am in hillbilly ****. h - e double toothpicks...

Um, you might be closer then you think. Lots of folks that settled around here came from coal country a bunch a years ago. I am kinda surprised you that you can only find one person. You might have to go north to Longview or Kelso or maybe further south toward Vancouver.

Try looking at the forum WeldingWeb™ - Professional Welding Forum - Powered by vBulletin. You might be able to find an amateur/professional there to give you a hand. I would gladly take a swing at it, just a little problem of about 3000 miles between us...

I finally took the PT in to town... Hopped on drove down our mile long driveway, then onto public roads at 10PM last night. Cold, wet but not a lot of people on the road. Wife followed behind with the car and flashers on...

$75 for the welding. There is debate bout wether it will hold or not. But the welder did not want to over do it with beefing up with a top plate.
