Kubota BX25
I just had in my possession one week a BX25. The inside plate on the dipper stick seems to have cracks on the welds. The main stick has a fair sized dent in it as well, almost as though something was pinched between them. I bought this unit new but had not seen it until it was delivered. The dealer is a 6 hr drive from here and they had the sub frame in the hoe when transported. I have only used the hoe in the snow just to try it out. I am going to call the dealer about a repair to it under warranty but not sure if I can have it repaired locally by a reputable welder to avoid hauling it back. Does anyone have any similar experiences on warranty work being performed other than the dealer?

Me thinks that they sold you a unit they used around their shop and the breaks/bends happened when they grabbed and moved something with the lower boom.

many dealers do not have forklifts and they use the hoes to move things = not good, not good, not good.

IF they are decent and good about it they should come and get the hoe and repair it for zero loonies as they did it obviously.

Have you had any reports of the big furry fellow wandering around lately?

You lost me on that one....what subframe? How was it "in the hoe"? Just trying to understand.....
But- yeah if it arrived damaged go after the dealer to make it right.

Yeah, same question. The BH subframe is integrated with the main frame at the factory. Did you get a quick hitch subframe for front implements and are referring to that? They should have no issues replacing the dipperstick given you really haven't even used it yet. Just a question of how to handle the logistics given they're six hours away. Did you get the Kubota insurance? That would be an extra measure of insurance just in case they try to say you broke it somehow, but hopefully it doesn't come to that.

Yes, The quick hitch subframe. I did notice some scuffs and dings assocoated with this and thought nothing of it at the time but took a closer look at it and noticed cracks on the inside plate welds. I will take a closer look, It MAY be just cracked paint on the weld seam. Will let you know.

I think that on a new tractor I'd go the extra miles back to the dealer. If you have a local do any repair then if something else shows up later, they will probably try to use the repair against you.

Here is crop of a picture I took the day I took possession of it. It shows the quick coupler in the hoe strapped to the dipper. I will take some pictures later today of the damage it may have caused.

I'd definitely call the dealer. If you just took ownership the proof is the dents are already rusted and the dealer should have no arguement that you didn't do it. Time to see what the dealer is made of. I would want it replaced...........
