So I have a 25cc leaf blower by Craftsman (P/N 358.794750), which I believe is the same thing as a Poulan PRO BVM200. I know, I've heard it before, these are POS, so why am I trying to fix it. Please, just humor me...
So I just rebuilt the carburetor and tweaked the mixtures using a tachometer to get it as precise as possible. I can't for the life of me find and specs as to how fast the engine should run during WOT. The idle is running around 1,500 -1,700 RPM, which seems right around where it should be., The WOT on the other hand is only pushing around 5,000 RPM, which in my experience is pretty slow for a 2 cycle. However, I have never measured a blower engine before, and I'm not sure if the impeller resistance causes an engine to run slower. Of course trying to find a service manual for Craftsman or Poulan is always met with a "Contact our authorized service centers..." response.
Any help is much appreciated!
