Crankcase breather 445 John Deere

There is a small metal plate and small very thin metal valve under a cover on the flywheel side of John Deere 445. This small plate has a slight bend to it. Does anyone know if this plate is installed with the bend up allowing a bigger gap or with the bend down so it places more pressure on the thin metal valve? This is on a 2001 John Deere 445. Unfortunately I took this off and wasn't paying attention to which way it goes back on. Thanks for your help.

I tried looking at the parts diagram and came up with nothing. Can you send a pic of the part and where it goes?
