I bought 2 rolls of Tytan sisal fiber 16000 green baler twine, for small square baler, from our local farm store ( Feldmans) and was I in for a surprise. It was very thin, about the thickness of the cable that attaches the keyboard to the computer. We started baling and could not get the left knotter to tie a knot, the twine seemed to break at some point during the knotting process. We spent all afternoon on the 4th messing with no success. I had a small amount of the old twine left over from last year and in desperation threaded it up and wow, it worked.
Oh, the baler is a old Oliver 720. By that time a neighbor came over and wrapped up the hay in big rounds. I think it's time to forget about messing with square bales and make my old life easier.
Anybody want a Oliver 720 baler?
