Does anyone know how to enable the creeper gear on my 336. There is a lever next to the 3 speed on the floor that is for it. But when i switch it to the side it just springs back into place.

My YM2010D has a creeper gear that is engaged by lifting up on a small knurled shaft to the side of the range shifter. While pulling up on this safety, I Can shift forward into creep range. (past first range) The process has to be repeated to shift back to 1st or other ranges. The first few times, it was a bit stiff, but it got easer to engage. Crazy low gear. Could move a tank with it. Could leave it engaged at idle rpm, go get a cup of coffee and come back to see it move the first wheel rev.

On my 276D there is a knob beside the range lever. You have to hold it up while shifting into & out of creep.

same as my YM2001, pull it up while shifting, that knob is to stop the shifter in first gear so you don't go into creep accidentally..

What are your plans for creep gear? I haven't found a use for it yet.

On my 3810D you move the little lever and then put the main trans into 1st gear and the lever will let the main shifter go into another space and you sometimes will have to run it in order to get it back out of creep in other words doing it with the engine off may cause the gears to stick where you cant get it back out of creep until you start it up.

ok, thats good to know. The next time I run it i will probably be in creep. I have to get the back fenders back on first.

Its reeeeeal slow! I never could see why its geared so low but after tilling a 1/2 acre garden a few weeks ago right after it had been plowed 18" deep I almost needed it so I am sure the day will come for everybody that has one.
