Creeper gear on a YM1810d

After reading on this forum about a creeper gear in some models of yanmar, I had a look on mine and noticed a C and below some japanese writing. As you can see from the attached picture, there is a lug which prevents the range select going any further towards the C gear. There doesn't seem to be any play in shifting around the lug (well I haven't forced it).

Does anyone know how to get it into the creeper gear? Do I remove the lug to get access to this gear (which seems extreme!)?

On my 2020 it is set up a little bit different but to go to creeper gear you either have to push in the tab or pull out the tab, can't remember which but one does it on mine.

That's the way it works, Just unscrew it and leave it out if you are going to use it a lot.

I unscrewed the lug and it gave me a whole new gear range I never knew I had!
