Hi Massey People
I have come over hat in hand from the Iseki site with the hope that someone might be able to help me pin down which Massey an Iseki TA357F comes closest to. I've been told the TA's are closest to the 1200 series and in many ways I see the resemblance, cockpit, transmission layout, etc.
The problem I'm having is that the TA I'm looking at has a model 4JE1 4cyl Isuzu engine whereas the 1200's seem to have 3cyl engines. Also the 357's wheels are stamped 1993 which would date it earlier than the 1200's as I understand it. Any thoughts/ insights on this would be much appreciated.Thanks. Gerry

The 1160 was a TA538, the 1180 was a TA527 and the 1190 was a TA607. Those were the only MF tractors with Isuzu engines, those were 4JB and 4JC model engines. Good engines.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like Iseki must have done a lot of mixing and matching with thier tractors for the Japanese market. One other question I have is regarding the dash (tach, gauges and indicator lights). Are they basically the same on both the MF1100 series and the 1200 series. The TA357 I'm looking at (cab model) has glow plugs that seem to be working but I can't determine where the indicator light is. I held the key in position for well over a minute but nothing lit up.
