Yesterday while operating my PT180 driving over a long distance, I stumbled onto a method of a sort of cruise control. Now if you guys already know about this you can make me feel better by saying thats cool or something because it is so easy that I wonder why I didn't think about it earlier.
Anyway on the 180, I was controlling my speed as usual with my right foot and by accident the toe portion of my left shoe worked its way under the reverse pedal. When I went to slow and let up on the right pedal, the tractor maintained its speed. As I figured out why (left shoe under reverse pedal holding it up and forward pedal down) I though how nice it is to be able to lock in the speed. It was like driving a gear drive tractor, just sit and steer. Look forward to trying it out when grass cutting.
I haven't used the 1430 yet to see if the dimensions are similar but I figure it is worth mentioning.
