CT 450 Drive Shaft Removal

I need to replace the oil pan in my tractor (dealer overtightened one of the drain plugs and stripped the threads). Dealer is located several hundred miles away so I'm replacing the oil pan myself with their supplied parts.

Does anyone know how to remove the driveshaft that runs down the center of the oil pan? I can't find any documentation and don't have a service manual handy.

Make the dealer happy. Take the old oil pan and either weld or have a new nut welded on the outside of each drain hole that fits your drain plug. If one gave way another will also. The dealer will probably pay for the welding and nuts to get the expensive oil pan back.

Helicoil it and be done with it, while you are at it do the otherside you will strip it out eventually. CJ
