ct225 shifts hard or not at all

Is anyone else having this problem, My tractor is sometime impossible to shift from low to med or high. Ive tried firmly pressing on the brake, gently pushing on the throttle, and double clutching with no success. Also the position indicator is a little off, when it will shift I usualy end up going past where I want and end up in a neutral position. The linkage looks fine. I'm gonna lube it up tonight and see if that makes a difference. If not its back to the dealer for my first service call.

Hello UncleSalty, The linkages do like to stick a bit on these machines, The best thing id recommend you do is get some White Lithieum grease spray, the sell it at most auto supply stores. Have someone you trust work the shifter and take a rag and spray all your linkages well. Make sure you come to a complete stop and firmly press the brake and clutch while changing gears. You also may need to slightly rock your hydro pedal. It will loosen up some, just keep it greased a few times a year.. Good luck.. Matt

Mine is a terrible pain, I plan on adressing it via warranty when I have the dealer do the 50 hour service.

Abmn10 has it right. Shoot the wd-40 to the linkages.. Problem goes away..

Mine seems to shift hard only when the trans is acting as a parking brake! I can get it to shift by putting light pressure on the lever and starting to barely engage forward or reverse(leave the clutch engaged). over time it seems to get much better.

Still a warranty issue in my book. I'll report when my rig is at the dealer for the 50 hour service. Which could be a few months since I am really in it on a siding project.
