Yep same thing with my 2005 cub 2544. Kinda reminds me of my walmart yard machines /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif! Only way around is is 1) wait for the bulbs to blow. 2) Pull the bulbs out. 3) Unplug & neatly tape off the lamp wiring. It really doesnt hurt anything, or rob power by having them on all the time, other than looking goofy on a sunny day. Replacement lamps are about $1/ea at auto parts stores. I don't remember the p/n off hand, but they are a standard automotive lamp.
