Cub 3240 Used vs 1046 vs 2542

I am looking for my first tractor and I almost bought a lt1046. I have a acre of land and it is not all totally flat. My wife also wants me to use it for plowing in winters and some gravel work in the driveway. Is this tractor going to be enough?

I really want at 2542 but alas it is too pricy. I did find a 3240 with 400 hours on it for $1500.

What would be the best direction for me and my needs.

if the 2542 is too pricey then i'd do with the 1500 dollar 3240. the 2500 series and 3000 series are going to be more suited to plowing and gravel work. the lt 1046 is just that an LT which stands for lawn tractor. I know others may plow with one but for extend years of service the other two mentioned are better suited to your needs

the 3000 is the premium series garden tractors from cub. They will do all you want and more. Plus you get hydraulics and power steering. If you don't get the 3240, let me know where it is, I'll buy it!

No.Never send a lawn mower out to do a garden tractors work.
How does $1500 compare to the price of the LT1046?
3240 would seem like the proper direction.
