does ss = shuttle shift, and can this size tractor run a 7' flail mower? i do not know much about these tractors there is a 2002 with loader and 6' box blade for sale for $11k, I have 58 acres, hills etc. not sure theres enough hrpwr? any help would be gr8 thanks dennis

Yes, it is a shuttle shift meaning you leave it in the selected gear and can use the orange lever on the left to move between forward and reverse.

I'm not sure about the flail mower, but I pull a 10' KBA Deere disc/harrow, a 5' brush hog (although it could pull more), a Deere 350 - 9' sickle bar mower, a hay rake, and a NH 310 small square baler. Grunts a bit with the baler on though.

I would not be afraid of this tractor. With the 58 acres, you will probably find some things this tractor will not handle, but the weight with the loader (about 4500 lbs) and the 4x4 drive will allow you to do a lot. I'm not sure if the 2002 was built by Daedong or Mitsubishi. My 99 was a Mitsu and really well built.


Maybe someone else will chime in on the flail mower.

thanks for the reply sorry I took so long to reply I never went and saw it, was gun shy that the 36 hrspwr would not handle the 7 foot flail

I have a 27HP Yanmar and I have run a 6' heavy mott flail behind it. If the grass/brush is more then a foot tall and thick it can really slow it down. With 36HP it should do "OK".
